Ultra-low Pressure RO Membrane Elements ULP-8040-400HR

The ULP-8040-400HR Ultra-Low Pressure RO Membrane Elements are an advanced product focused on energy-efficient water treatment. Within the ultra-low pressure membrane family, it is renowned for achieving high water flux and high salt rejection at relatively low operating pressures. Compared to conventional low-pressure composite membranes, its operating pressure is significantly lower. This low operating pressure directly reduces system energy consumption and associated equipment investment. This element is suitable for desalination of a variety of water sources and is ideal for large-scale municipal projects where energy costs are critical.

Ultra-Low Pressure Operation and High Energy Efficiency: The ULP-8040-400HR membrane element requires only approximately two-thirds the operating pressure of conventional low-pressure membranes to achieve similar high water flux and salt rejection. This significantly reduces system power consumption, making it particularly suitable for controlling energy costs in large-scale water treatment projects. It also allows for the use of smaller pumps, piping, and vessels, reducing initial investment.

High Salt Rejection Rate and Product Water Quality: This element boasts a high salt rejection rate, effectively reducing the total dissolved solids (TDS) content of product water, ensuring the production of high-quality, low-TDS pure water, meeting stringent water quality requirements.

Wide Adaptability: Suitable for desalination of a variety of water sources, including surface water, groundwater, tap water, and municipal water. Its antioxidant properties, thanks to a specialized synthesis process, allow it to withstand water sources containing oxidizing substances.

Fouling Resistance and Easy Maintenance: The membrane element features a 34-mil inlet flow channel design, effectively reducing fouling and improving cleaning efficiency. Its wide cleaning pH range (pH 1-13) allows for effective chemical cleaning to remove scale, organic contaminants, and biofilm.

Main Applications:

Municipal Wastewater Reuse: Used in reclaimed water reuse projects at large municipal wastewater treatment plants, achieving water resource recycling.

Highly Microbially Contaminated Water Treatment: Suitable for treating water sources with high microbial loads, such as surface water, to ensure water safety.

Food and Pharmaceutical Industries: Provides pure and ultrapure water for these industries, which have extremely high water quality requirements.

Aseptic Systems: Can be used in aseptic systems to ensure that water quality within the system meets stringent standards.
